Dr. Chris Hessenius, Ph.D. is an expert in laser research and development with a focus in VECSEL technology. He has over 20 years of experience designing and developing semiconductor laser technology. With his innovative and patented T-cavity VECSEL configuration he has secured venture capital funding and multiple SBIR and STTR awards toward further development of the technology. Dr. Hessenius has continuously built relationships with military and defense departments, defense granting organizations, laser development companies, and industry professionals to further his efforts. He is co-founder and President of DeUVe Photonics.
