Ewan Wright

Ewan Wright received his Ph.D. in Physics from Heriot-Watt University, Scotland, in 1983, after which he spent two years as a post-doc at the Max-Planck Institute for Quantum Optics in Munich, Germany. His doctoral work included the theory of optical bistability and also the mode properties of optical resonators. He has been at the College of Optical Sciences at the University of Arizona since 1985, becoming a full professor in 1999. His research interests include the theory and simulation of laser resonators, optical pulse propagation in the atmosphere, as well as ultracold atomic gases.
