Michal Lukowski, Ph.D. received a Master’s degree in Applied Physics from Warsaw University of Technology in Poland in 2009. He continued his education at the College of Optical Sciences at the University of Arizona and received a Ph.D. in 2016. His research was focused on intracavity nonlinear frequency generation in Vertical External Cavity Surface Emitting Lasers, which led him to demonstrate novel ultraviolet, visible and mid-infrared laser sources. His experience with nonlinear optics spans over 10 years. He also has over 10 years of experience in cleanroom semiconductor laser microfabrication. He has been with DeUVe Photonics since its inception, where he works on design and assembly of high-power lasers operating in UV, visible and near-IR spectral regions.
